This notice explains how Pichoose.com handles selected pictures, local browser data, analytics, advertising-related technologies and basic service data.

Who is responsible for the service?

Pictures you choose

Pichoose performs the comparison locally in your browser using temporary browser image references and a browser canvas. The selected pictures are not uploaded to Pichoose, sent to an external image-analysis provider or stored in a permanent Pichoose image library.

The temporary image references remain available only for the active page session. They are released when you clear the comparison and cease to be available when the page is closed or reloaded.

Camera and gallery access

Your browser or operating system controls access to your camera and media gallery. Pichoose receives only the pictures you actively select or capture for use in the service.

Local storage and cached app files

Pichoose may store your theme preference and privacy choice in your browser. Its service worker may cache public app files such as code, icons and styles so the interface loads reliably. Selected pictures are not added to that app cache.

Analytics and technical data

When analytics is enabled, Pichoose uses Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage and improve the service. It may process device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from network information, referral information, page interactions and diagnostic data. Analytics storage is denied by default and, where consent is required, is enabled only after you consent through Google’s privacy message.

The web server and hosting infrastructure may also process standard request information such as IP address, browser identifier, requested page, date and time for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and security. This technical traffic does not include the pictures analyzed locally in your browser.

Advertising, cookies and consent

Pichoose may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Where advertising is active, Google and participating advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, frequency control and fraud prevention. Where required, Pichoose requests a privacy choice before optional analytics or advertising storage is used. Consent for Google Analytics and Google advertising for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland is managed through Google’s certified European regulations message.

Legal bases

Depending on the activity, processing may rely on your consent, performance of the service you request, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as service delivery, security and abuse prevention.

Retention

Pichoose does not retain the pictures analyzed locally in the browser. Browser preferences remain until you remove them through your browser or change your choice. Analytics, advertising, consent and security records are retained according to the applicable provider settings, legal requirements and legitimate operational needs.

Your data-protection rights

Where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, request portability, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
